About Us
The Sequoia Alternative Program serves students from Lenape, Shawnee, Cherokee, and Seneca who are facing difficulties ranging from academic challenges, behavioral issues, irregular attendance, and mental health concerns. Despite being a general educational program, more than fifty percent of our students have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The program's overarching goal is to establish a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment where every student can flourish and succeed academically, behaviorally, and emotionally.

The use of personal laptops, tablets, cell phones, and other personal internet-enabled devices is prohibited throughout the school day. All personal internet-enabled devices must be silenced and stored out of sight.

Our "One Book" program unites students, staff, families and even members of the community through the shared experiences of reading a book from a common reading list.

Mr. Weiman was honored as Sequoia’s 2026 Teacher of the Year at the Burlington County Governor’s Educator of the Year Ceremony held on May 18th at the The Westin Mount Laurel.

The annual fee will be assessed to every student who participates in at least one athletic or extracurricular activity that requires a Board of Education paid coach or advisor.
