I am delighted to introduce myself as the Director of the Sequoia Alternative Program. With a profound passion for education and over twenty years of experience, I have had the privilege of fostering the academic, behavioral, and personal growth of countless students.
I graduated from the College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. In 1999, I began my career as a Special Education Teacher at Ewing High School. While working there, I led a self-contained program for students with behavioral disabilities and coordinated an after-school educational program for at-risk students.
In 2001, I moved to South Jersey to continue my career in the Lenape Regional High School District as a Special Education Teacher at Lenape High School. I earned a Master's Degree in School Leadership from Rider University and was hired as an Assistant Principal and Supervisor of Special Education at Shawnee High School in 2005.
While at Shawnee High School, I was a member of the school leadership team and led the Special Education Department until I was appointed to lead the Sequoia Alternative Program. I have been the Director of the Sequoia Alternative Program since 2015, and I couldn't be more proud of our students and program.
I approach my work daily with an unwavering commitment to our students' academic, behavioral, and emotional success. Watching our students persevere to overcome challenges and succeed in the Sequoia Alternative Program has been an absolute pleasure for me and the entire Sequoia Family.
I love what I do and couldn’t be more excited about working with you to ensure your child’s success. If you have any questions, please call me at 609-268-3700 ext. 370200.
